Student Awards
Model United Nations
Sacramento State’s Model United Nations (UN) Team attended the National Model UN Conference in April 2025 and
retured with several awards, including one of the conference’s top honors. The team consisted of Nikita Akhumov, Isabella
Dominguez, Daniel Fernandez, Melanie Kannalikham, Emanuela Koplik, Aedhan Lanta, Molly Mellon, Sophia Mercer, Timothy
Morrison, Jania Sanchez, Jasmit Singh, Sofiia Vranchan, and Ian Zentner. They were awarded the Overall Outstanding
Delegation Award, which is the highest honor for an entire delegation, along with the following position paper awards:
Commission on the Status of Women: Isabella Dominguez and Melanie Kannalikham
Human Rights Council: Timothy Morrison and Sofiia Vranchan
Commission for Population and Development: Ian Zentner
Economic and Social Council: Molly Mellon and Emanuela Koplik
The Outstanding Delegate Award recognizes leadership qualities of delgates in committee during the conference and that
was awarded to Ian Zentner, Sofiia Vranchan, and Timothy Morrison.
